Morning Routine re-defined
Drink warm lemon water first think when you wake up. Don’t eat breakfast or wash your teeth for 15 to 30 minutes after this. Lemon water has anti-inflammatory effect and serves as a great liver and digestive system cleanser. Besides that, it refreshes the breath, provides antioxidants benefiting our skin and facilitates weight loss.
Stretch to help your body to wake up. Simple 10-minutes stretching improves blood circulation, oxygenates brain, and when performed regularly improves our physical condition. Yoga or stretching, often overlooked part of the morning routine, has a massive impact on our mental and physical condition.
Meditate for another 10 to 20 minutes to relax your brain and organize your thoughts. Meditation, often perceived by those not practicing as a purely religious ritual, can benefit anyone and should be viewed as a spiritual tool. It helps to achieve inner balance, focus, clarity of thoughts and aids stress management.
Get protein rich breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. High in protein and healthy fats will boost body metabolism. On the other hand, breakfast high in carbohydrates causes insulin levels rise and activates fat-storage mode in the body (therefore hinders efforts of those striving to reduce body fat level).
Read in the morning to stimulate your intellect. Be it your favourite book, a piece of news, or an article you’ve been putting off reading for a couple of weeks. Reading as long as 20 minutes every weekday morning gives you an extra 1 hour and 40 minutes a week spent on development.
Sport performed in the first half of the day boosts your metabolism even further and gets your body into state of burning calories throughout the day. Endorphins being released during exercise improve your concentration and mental condition, keep you energized throughout the day and regularly performed rewards you with a lean body.
